Students must complete the Pathways 课程 in order to receive a baccalaureate degree. The Pathways 课程 has six curricular requirements, and three optional elements that provide the foundation in the liberal arts and sciences for all the bachelor’s degrees awarded by 赌博娱乐平台网址大全 University. Through these requirements, students acquire the necessary skills and disciplinary perspectives to navigate complex questions at 赌博娱乐平台网址大全 and in their post-graduate lives.
Behavior Management and Special 教育
Study of behavior management systems that are based on psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and developmental theoretical orientations. Specific 干预 strategies are presented to reduce the behavioral and 学习 problems that interfere with achievement and psychosocial functioning.
咨询 Theory and Methods Lab
Theories of counseling and psychotherapy are presented. 咨询 methods and approaches are studied and demonstrated according to the major theoretical paradigms in Psychology. Multicultural issues are discussed in implementing counseling services in schools.
Psychological Assessment: Cognitive and Academic
The first in the two-course sequence in the 评估 of cognitive and academic functioning. The series begins with a study of the theory of intelligence and achievement testing. Administration of individual 评估 instruments with a report is then taught and continues into the second semester sequel.
Psychological Assessment: Emotions and Personality
A study of test and interview-based 评估 methods to assess psychosocial development. The focus is on how diagnostic formulation is used to prepare comprehensive 干预 plans. Intensive training in administration, scoring, and interpretation of projective personality tests.
Consultation Theory and Methods
The types of school and mental health consultation are presented. The role of the consultant at all phases of the consultation process is studied. Specific techniques for case, 程序, and consultee-centered consultation are discussed and simulated.
Multicultural Issues in School Psychology
This course provides students with a multicultural awareness as they explore the impact of an increasingly diverse society. Particular emphasis will be placed on gaining self-awareness around issues of cultural diversity.

The sequence begins with foundational knowledge and progresses to applied skill development. Each student group enters in the fall and graduates in three years. The third year is an internship which is a supervised practice experience. Because students remain with the same small class over the two years of course work, a sense of community and support is fostered that usually continues into students' professional lives after the completion of the 程序.

Graduate Assistantship
The 圣安东尼奥 community provides an important setting for students’ educational experiences. The graduate assistantship places students in an educational setting from their first day in the 程序 for twenty-four hours per week during the school year. After two years in the 程序, students advance to a third-year, paid full-time internship.
